Nature's prison binds us true
Bunkered down in concrete walls
That close us from the outside world
Outside stands guard the howling winds
That break and snap anything that goes venture
Forever not wind that keeps us caged
Rather the Sky's tears that floods the earth
That earth outside marking us free people
As the hours pass and our sentence weakens
And when we see the end
Swing the door open to see and behold
How the world outside changed and endured
Those left within the debris
Are left to pick the pieces
Rebuild back their once known hope and dreams
From a desolate and destroyed world
But know this and listen well
If you can hear or see my words
And your heart still ever beatin
And the ones around still breathe
Smile and know that your love
Your thoughts of safety
Has allowed you to see a new world
And be able to tell the tales
To the future to come
That you against the odds are alive and well.

Birds
We flock, continue the way
Along our path in the sky
Aligned perfect accordance
Knowing our purpose with the group up high
Our brothers and sister close in touch
Providing comfort from the high winds
That makes walls of chilling air
That crawls under our feathers
But we search, ever searching
Food for the survival of our people's
Mind, culture, ways of life
With our claws we build the foundations
On the lands of our ancestors before
We build for the ones that come after
When our own life goals are seen fulfilled
We strive not just for ourselves
But for the families and friends
Who have taken us under their wing
They are the teachers of
What it truly means to
Be an adult in this society
Then when we finish
Then and only then
We know where we perch onto the tree.

Seeds
Seeded, watered, and patted down
Sown and sheltered into the soil we call Home Sweet Home
Till our call for adventuring
The wide expanse unknown
More and more we learn
As we roam in the lands Above and Below
Up we feel the sweet embrace
Of the wind that blows through our hands
Along with the refreshing splash of water
Upon our head, that washes down
Into our clothing, soothing to the touch.
With the same sense we search further down
And sink our feet into the roots
Of our ancestors who paved the way
We flow into our next single steps
Our mind diverges from others
We progress uniquely on our own
Searching for the worldly answer
Of why we came into our existance
Then and only then
We know where to place
The ones after we are gone.

Memorial
Remember
All the lives lost
Among the years
Of blood from
The fallen
Who have taken arms
In protection of our
Children and their children.
For without them
Lies no hope of freedom
Of choice or matter.
Slaves to another
Shackled to a journey
Predetermined by other.
But by the hours
And sweat upon the
Brows of every man
And woman who
Fought for this country
I thank you
On this day
Of remembrance
Of your service
To our Country.
All the lives lost
Among the years
Of blood from
The fallen
Who have taken arms
In protection of our
Children and their children.
For without them
Lies no hope of freedom
Of choice or matter.
Slaves to another
Shackled to a journey
Predetermined by other.
But by the hours
And sweat upon the
Brows of every man
And woman who
Fought for this country
I thank you
On this day
Of remembrance
Of your service
To our Country.

Lantern
Lantern glow
Illuminate the way
And keep me safe
From all who delve
Within the shadows of dark
Take with me
Every single step
So that I may
Reach home sweet home
Unscathed by fang and claw
Show every tree root
So I don't stumble
Swallowed by the night
For I am just a child
Who fears the black
But as you dim
And I see less and less
Courage will fail me not
At your last ember seen
The fire in me gleamed
And I showed the way
Back home safe and warm
Keeping you safe
Now and Forever.
Illuminate the way
And keep me safe
From all who delve
Within the shadows of dark
Take with me
Every single step
So that I may
Reach home sweet home
Unscathed by fang and claw

Burdens
I am young
Still having countless mornings
To rise groggily out of bed.
Glad to be alive
Proud to make decisions on my own.
Don't doubt I have regrets
I have shed tears before
But, through these experiences
I have learned many things
In which I must
Make my presence known.
That I a man
In this world
Must rely on
Holding my own burdens
Across a desolate wasteland.
There will be people to judge
On your path
To your destination.
But they can not hinder
One who pushes back
And exclaims that "I
Was made this way
For a greater purpose
To love and show kindness
No matter the trespass."
Trust your mind
Believe in your heart and
Live with your Soul.
Still having countless mornings
To rise groggily out of bed.
Glad to be alive
Proud to make decisions on my own.
Don't doubt I have regrets

Push Together
Without prejudice, without bias
Like a locomotive steaming
On it's wheels
People of the same mind
Can scale mountains
Land on moons
Imagine your dreams
And push forward
With courage and heart
To make these dreams
These soft clouds you
Pursue day and night
A mankind's reality.
Be known for who you are
And what you stand for.
Don't let a chip on your shoulder
A imperfection, a wall stop you
Push through it.
I know you
Will find the answer
To your heart's lock
Some day, Some time, Some place
Where you can just be You.
Like a locomotive steaming
On it's wheels
People of the same mind
Can scale mountains
Land on moons
Imagine your dreams
And push forward
With courage and heart
To make these dreams
These soft clouds you
Pursue day and night

Pools
Lines cast in
The rushing brook below
Peace was found
Among those reeds
Under that willow tree
Where my grandfather and I
Slightly napping with
Our fishing caps
With a soothing breeze
Kissing our skin
On this mild summer day
We were free of worry
And the constraints
That bind us from true happiness
The freedom from despair.

Sunshine Land
There is a land
Where the leaves don't turn
And the white powder
On the ground
Does not come in drifts
And rather sifts through you feet
Giving everlasting warmth.
The friendly sun
Makes the same route everyday
Blistering the skin
Of the people below.
You can look out
Upon those waves
Catching every soothing crest
And every calming dip
Color bottoms matching
A sky top above.
Where the leaves don't turn
And the white powder
On the ground
Does not come in drifts
And rather sifts through you feet
Giving everlasting warmth.

Not Wanted
All Questions, no answers
What our peers say
Breaks our heart every time
You don't belong
Like an ugly duckling
Disregarded like trash
Put out on the street
Never to be thought again
Who are we?
Fake identities
Labeled by our peers
For us to follow
Be that loyal lapdog
I say no more
I want to be me
Make passion and write
My own story where I
Am the main character
Nay Sayers Begone!
For here I come.
For I am myself
Nothing more, nothing less
Be the judge and the jury
And I will just
Keep Movin on
What our peers say
Breaks our heart every time
You don't belong
Like an ugly duckling
Disregarded like trash
Put out on the street
Never to be thought again
Who are we?
Fake identities
Labeled by our peers

Description about me
It is in my nature to love, to live, to learn, to explore, to be fascinated with the unknown, to seek compassion for justice, to love good food, to travel, to see greatness in everyone, to find beauty in anything, and be intense and passionate with life itself. I strive to make the best of every situation and to seek out the thrill and adventure life has to offer. I love to sit back and just take in nature; either barefoot on a beach hiking through the woods or fishing on the shore.

Majesty's Drumbeat
Past the standing mirror
Casting one's reflection
of art one can not see
But through sounds can hear.
First taken on a journey
Partnered with crying heartful souls
Underlied with the nation's culture
Jazzed into a midnight crime scene
Untold, Unwritten, Never Forgotten.
Daylight break revealing the heartbroken sailing waves
Sparking one Federation flag of freedom
Tango buzzing violin flair
Ambiance of the hanging garden under
The angry jungle rainclouds.
Pouring red rain upon a blood-stained battlefield
Wives whispering windy tales flown by the flute
However, even the unworthy can achieve
Love as I walk outside into the night.

Natural Colors
Everyday I wake up to an orange smile
That crests the sky up upon the morn
I shimmy out of bed focusing
On matching colors.
My parents made
A documentary of all my
clothing catastrophes.
The walk outside beheld a gentle breeze
With tiny fluffy blotches fills
The blue expanse we see above our head.
We focus on the ground for sets of greens
Sporting healthy vegetation from the
Morning mildew that sits upon every leaf.
Among these greens sits creatures
Of unknown potential and beautiful imagery.
Floating butterflies, bouncing rabbits,
Slithering Snakes, and crawling lizards.
Makes my surroundings clear
And where to surely avoid.
"Safety First" my mother always said
Down the pathway I hear the distant
Ringing of the school's clock tower.
It is time to keep the outside
In memory as I venture inside
To learn certain aspects of human nature.
That we take into our own
To change the world in our image
One color at a time.
That crests the sky up upon the morn
I shimmy out of bed focusing

Desert
The hourglass of the sun beckons
It's angry wrath upon the stone children below.
Drying rivers and lakes leaving
Sifting sands that forgot their heritage.
We string together in one line as a
Sandstorm brews a wicked wind to
Blind the unfaithful, and unprepared
Sons and Daughters of the two feet.
We creatures of the sand brand our
Mark of adaptations such as the
Scorpions' spearing tail
Snakes' assassin fangs
Crocodiles' bone-crushing bite
Enough to crush the water caravans
Built entirely of wood and cloth, prepared
By the Sweat of the forgotten religion.
We head into the city of tiers whereas
Gods wore faces of animals but contained
Human willpower as we are led
Into the Grand Bazaar to unload
Our own stocks upon our backs.
This is the place where we find new
Friends onwards to the next city full
of different wares in the
Unforgivable dunes.

How We Write
Write what you know
Or write how you feel
Like a river burst to overflow
In the words you shall seal.
Words like driftwood logs down the rushing stream
Marking the way to the mouth of the bay.
Interlocked into a little team
Molded like a pot of clay.
Sentences in the loom we thread
Linking each word in its respectable knot.
Fraught with dangers ahead
As punctuation needs to be caught.
Paragraphs split machinery in a car.
Engines revving for the reader's eye.
Lined with expectations high bar.
Only in style can we try.
Stories colored into a piece of art\
Every little detail made into an author's masterpiece.
Colors splashed together, tasty as a Poptart.
Without heart, an author's life shall cease.

Messy Room
A room, considered mess
Trash sprawled all over the floor
My fault I confess
Duty make trash no more.
First by scrubbing the sink
And Ajax in the tub
Smooth as an ice rink
Only a generous rub.
Onward to make my bed
And vacuum the floor
Remembering what my mother said
Polishing the door.
For the goodness of the house
That I have to clean
But as quiet as a mouse
So this mess isn't seen
No one knows that it was I
As I crawled back into my sheet
Because I am a nice guy
Whose guests see as neat.
Trash sprawled all over the floor
My fault I confess
Duty make trash no more.
First by scrubbing the sink
And Ajax in the tub
Smooth as an ice rink

Dream Home
A little cottage by the everblue sea
A marvelous hue
Of color to compliment
On the backside of my humble home
A meadow full of buzzling bees
A place to walk, a place to talk
Of eye-catching fantasies
By that little cottage by the sea
Where my children can play
Within the sunshine's rays
Oblivious of any sorrow
Another day, another tomorrow
In the shallows I would be
Those shallows of the sea
Catching fish for my family
Living by without any money
A home to come to
Stories of the day I would tell
We lucky few
A life no man wants to sell.
A marvelous hue
Of color to compliment
On the backside of my humble home
A meadow full of buzzling bees
A place to walk, a place to talk
Of eye-catching fantasies

Why the Bird Rises and Falls
From morning light, the crimson bird
Rises on the horizon sprouted
With fluffy feathers that soothes
The living souls under the gaze
Guided by the trees that line
The blank path, each step
Moving Forward on a journey
Full of unique embellishments
And sights to behold.
The rise has finally lit up the sky
Giving new light to the
Staunchy elms, whistling warblers, wrecking
Woodpeckers, and hungry hawks
Keen for the next meal that will show
In the opening above the stagnant
Pond that sports poisonous copper triangles
And outrageous otters whose swim
Matches the backstroke's masterpiece
It was six miles they said
But I saw something more
I saw steps until the
Bird returns to the nest
And the world falls asleep.
Rises on the horizon sprouted
With fluffy feathers that soothes
The living souls under the gaze
Guided by the trees that line
The blank path, each step
Moving Forward on a journey
Full of unique embellishments
And sights to behold.
The rise has finally lit up the sky

Off To College
Classes start today
As a new Florida shimmering ray
Dances upon the dull concrete
Vibrating to the students' feet
I was mesmerized by the sight
Of a new day and night life
Another day saying I was free
To whoever I wanted to be
During the day teachers give us homework
During the night I learn to cook pork
It was different living alone
Like an instrument with it's new beat
A soothing but somber tone.
Who was I?
When did I last cry?
Family was important to me
They were my belaying stone
But now like a little bird
It was my time to fly
Away from my native nest
I promise I'll do my best.
As a new Florida shimmering ray
Dances upon the dull concrete
Vibrating to the students' feet
I was mesmerized by the sight
Of a new day and night life
Another day saying I was free
To whoever I wanted to be

Spirits (Poem)
Lain upon the floor
With Spirits in hand
Joy on the faces who drink
The magical Elixir
That loosens locked tongues
Releasing our hidden emotions.
As a witness of such events
Man and Woman alike are bound
By the bottle and cup.
Tongues flared to new tastes
Hands danced upon games.
But like a flip of a coin
Hearts can break
Terror of future lingers
Upon the recovering body
Wistful flowers slump and cry
Wailful songs as they
Are consumed by the Night lit sky
Starting their day anew
For the next ticket
Back to the joyful ride
That lifts the soul
Into brain oblivion.
With Spirits in hand
Joy on the faces who drink
The magical Elixir
That loosens locked tongues
Releasing our hidden emotions.
As a witness of such events
Man and Woman alike are bound
By the bottle and cup.
Tongues flared to new tastes
Hands danced upon games.
But like a flip of a coin
Hearts can break
Terror of future lingers
Upon the recovering body
Wistful flowers slump and cry
Wailful songs as they
Are consumed by the Night lit sky
Starting their day anew
For the next ticket
Back to the joyful ride
That lifts the soul
Into brain oblivion.
