Remember
All the lives lost
Among the years
Of blood from
The fallen
Who have taken arms
In protection of our
Children and their children.
For without them
Lies no hope of freedom
Of choice or matter.
Slaves to another
Shackled to a journey
Predetermined by other.
But by the hours
And sweat upon the
Brows of every man
And woman who
Fought for this country
I thank you
On this day
Of remembrance
Of your service
To our Country.
